These sorts of action movies aren’t always my cup of tea, but this one was long-awaited. The introduction about the egg hunt went on for so long and generally it took a while to get the ball rolling. Things started picking up whenever the bonobos got introduced, but I knowww Noa felt insane survivor’s guilt for sort of leading the villains to his colony. I’m so glad he found that Orangutang because that’s really what he needed x. He was such a wise and sweet man; his death was SO tragic, rip orangutang :(. Also, I can’t be the only one who totally thought that Noa (ape) and Mae (girl) had a thing for each other. Like the way he saved her when he barely knew her… their intense eye contact.. Everything was so teasing it felt like one touch would cause an explosion. Then when it came to light that Soona (ape) liked him and Noa liked her back, I was kind of disappointed. I was EXTRA disappointed that we never even got an ape kiss like WTF. The whole plan to destroy the bonobos gave me so much anxiety, but when Mae betrayed Noa and left them for dead basically??? Fuming. AND her coming back after the apes defeated the bonobos and having a plan to kill Noa?? So fucked. At least the fight scene between Noa and Proximus Caesar was satisfying. There are so many questions that the ending left me with and I desperately need the next one to come out. Overall, the cinematography was incredible, the plot was rich, and the ape chemistry was hot.
